MN: Confirmation on €50m release clause as PSG and Man City want Milan star

Ismael Bennacer continues to be linked with a summer exit, following an impressive season with AC Milan. The latter paid just €16m for the midfielder, per Transfermarkt, and now the price has certainly increased.

Earlier this evening, Footmercato reported that Man City and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the Algerian, who joined Milan from Empoli last summer. Furthermore, the report added that there is a €50m release clause in the Milan star’s contract.

Initially lacking confirmation in Italy, MilanNews.it have now verified the release clause’s existence. That being said, it’s still a hefty price tag even for a player like Bennacer, especially in today’s market where the Coronavirus effect is evident.

The Italian outlet also confirmed the interest of Man City and Paris Saint-Germain, who are monitoring the situation with great interest. Above all the English side, with Pep Guardiola at the helm of the interest, as the report concludes.
