MN: Giroud needed just one chance to introduce himself – Milan have their bomber

Olivier Giroud got off to a great start with the Milan jersey as he scored on his debut this evening, just a few minutes after coming on. Indeed, he showed exactly why the Rossoneri were eager to bring him in.

As highlighted by MilanNews, it was a trademark Giroud goal, beating the defenders on Samu Castillejo’s free-kick to head home the equaliser. And it came in an important moment, as Nice had taken the lead a few minutes before.

Giroud’s goal allowed Milan to settle down a bit and take control of what was a very tough game, in front of almost 25K fans that made themselves heard. The performance, in truth, wasn’t great by the Rossoneri but at least they got a draw.

With a real striker up front, they didn’t need loads of chances to find the back of the net. In fact, Giroud needed just one and got the job done with his first touch. The Rossoneri have found their bomber, who hopefully can break the No.9 spell.
