MN: Jovic trains individually at Milanello due to ankle problem

There could be yet another injury problem for Stefano Pioli to deal with as Luka Jovic was forced to train individually today due to an ankle issue.

Milan are back in league action on Saturday at 18:00 CET and will challenge Sassuolo in the last match of the 2023 calendar, as well as the penultimate day of the first round of Serie A. The matches against the neroverdi, historically, have never been a walk in the park for the Diavolo.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Jovic did personalised work today because he is recovering from a blow to his ankle suffered during the 2-2 draw against Salernitana, a game in which he came off the bench and scored the equaliser in added time.

If he were to miss the Sassuolo game, then Pioli would once again find himself with an absence of depth in the attacking department, given that Noah Okafor will be out for a few weeks more after suffering a thigh muscle injury.

However, the training sessions that will take place on Thursday and Friday will hopefully provide more positive news regarding the Serbia international, who is on a good run of form having scored three times in the past month.
