MN: Krunic leapfrogs Messias for Napoli clash – how Milan’s XI should look

Rade Krunic could play from the first minute this evening as AC Milan will take on Napoli without Rafael Leao. This is the latest indication that has arrived as Stefano Pioli has been pondering different solutions.

Tonight’s clash is an important one and it’s a shame that the Rossoneri will be without Leao. The Portuguese winger has been in good form lately and it will be hard to replace him, but Pioli has been evaluating different solutions throughout the week.

As per MilanNews, it looks like Krunic is now in pole position to replace Leao. It was initially reported that Saelemaekers would take on the role, with Junior Messias starting on the right, but it seems the Belgian will keep his right-wing spot.

Starting Krunic will perhaps give Milan a more balanced look, while he will be able to switch positions with Charles De Ketelaere more fluently. It could also give Theo Hernandez the opportunity to overlap more than usual.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Bennacer, Tonali; Saelemaekers, De Ketelaere, Krunic; Giroud.
