According to what MilanNews are reporting, Leao and Milan have now found a total agreement on every aspect of the new contract as even the last details have been resolved over the past couple of days.
The official announcement should arrive next week, most likely after the return leg of the Champions League semi-final, but everything is ready as the parties have finally found the white smoke.
As for the exact figures of the agreement, Milan will pay Leao €5 net plus bonuses each season for the next five years, with his deadline therefore shifting from 2024 to 2028. There is also a €175m release clause in Leao’s contract.
The player has always put Milan first and – after settling the dispute with Sporting CP – he immediately signed with the Rossoneri. The saga is over, and a very important renewal will soon be official.
