The AC Milan management will sit down with Charles De Ketelaere and his agents once the season is over to take stock of the future, a report claims.
As Pietro Mazzara writes in his column for MilanNews, the club and the playmaker will have a face-to-face discussion to talk about the future and figure out what the next moves are, because it has been a far from positive end to the season.

If De Ketelaere says he wants to leave after just a year, an offer will have to arrive that covers the over €30m invested a year ago if it is a permanent deal.

If we want to keep CDK, I’ve come to the realisation that he will actually need to go out on loan. It dawned on me amid the potential links to Monza.
I don’t know whether it is the translation of a word from Italian, which is not a perfect match, but I keep seeing the word ‘precedent’ used in relation to CDK, with virtually no analysis of what underpins the precedent in question.
If you look at the histories of Tonali, Leao, Bennacer, Theo, and I’d include Tomori and Kalulu (because both still make massive blunders), the precedent is not 1 bad season at Milan is followed by greatness. It is not even close.
The precedent is something like:
– 3 to 4 seasons;
– playing in top level leagues;
– in the desired/intended position/role in a formation;
results in high level ceiling for performance but the same low floor and inconsistency that does not even out until the age of 24/25.
Tonali maybe did it in 2 seasons but he has been very patchy this season, so he has hardly established himself as the consistent and hardened pro he will become in his next 50 appearances. He’s also Italian and grew up with the principles that underpin the way Italian coaches like to play.
Bennacer, for example, is currently in his 6th season in Italy.
If CDK is going to make it, it is very unlikely he will become an AM capable of displacing the AM of a standard we need to challenge for Scudetti (e.g. SMS or Zaniolo of the options we are linked to) until the season commencing in 2025. That’s the precedent.
That’s what fans and commentators clearly do not realise when they are preaching patience.
It had not occurred to me until now that loaning him, possibly even for the next 2 seasons, could be exactly what he needs.
Monza would be ideal because its style is close, Palladino is a good coach (possibly going to develop into a great coach), and at Monza CDK is essentially still local to Milan (so he can settle in for the duration of his contract).
What’s the worst that could happen? He becomes a complete flop and we can’t recover the money spent on his purchase (which it does seem we are going to do anyway) or he makes it and we have 2 AMs of the quality that belong in UCL semi finals.
I also note that Brahim, Bakayoko, FBT, etc never gets included in the discussion about precedent. I assume that is because despite all of the time here, they’re unreliable.
Yes you are right, if he success on loan , we will get quality AMF. The worst is if he even fail at small club in loan , AC Milan will get huge loss
