AC Milan consider Ismael Bennacer to be a vital part of their project and that is why talks are underway over his renewal, a report claims.
MilanNews acknowledges the fact that a lot of the speculation at the moment is surrounding Rafael Leao’s deal which expires in June 2024 but the contract of Bennacer – which runs out on the same date – must not be ignored either.

The Algerian international is very important to Stefano Pioli’s system, and the relationship between Bennacer and the management is excellent as seen by the images of Paolo Maldini yesterday at Milanello talking privately with him before starting the training session.
“He is one of the leaders of this group,” declared the Rossoneri coach before Chelsea-Milan when he entrusted the former Empoli man with the captain’s armband. The talks are ongoing with Bennacer’s agents and the aim is to agree a deal worth €3.5m net per season plus bonuses.
3.5 m should be fine.
The bonuses should be based on him completing at least one forward pass longer than 5 meters per game.
