In the last few hours, Bayern Munich have expressed an interest in signing Pierre Kalulu from AC Milan but at the moment a deal seems unlikely.

MilanNews confirm our earlier report which stated that the Bavarians have asked for information on Kalulu and are thinking of a loan with option to buy deal which would see him replace Benjamin Pavard, who could join Inter.
There are a lot of reasons that Milan are unlikely to sell Kalulu. The first is that he is a flexible player given he can play as a central defender and as a right-back, allowing Pioli to have a reliable alternative to Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori but also Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi.
Furthermore, there is a timing issue too. It would be very difficult to replace the 23-year-old with so few days left until the end of the transfer window with another equally reliable and flexible profile.
Given Milan’s strategy it is also clear that if Bayern Munich were to present a big offer like €30m then things could change. The Rossoneri bought Kalulu for just €480k so it would essentially be a pure capital gain.
However, at present what is clear is that Milan do not want to sell Kalulu and it would take an irrefutable bid for their stance to change so close to the window end.
