MN: Milan will make ‘at least’ three additional signings this summer

Massara and Maldini renewals

On paper, AC Milan have only made one signing thus far this summer and there are still some holes to fill in the squad. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working hard on several fronts and at least three more signings are expected.

Divock Origi arrived on a free transfer earlier this month and Milan have also redeemed the likes of Alessandro Florenzi and Junior Messias. To that, we should also add the returns of Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega from loan.

Origi remains the only ‘real’ signing, though, and both Maldini and Massara know that more reinforcements are needed. As per Anto Vitiello in his latest editorial for MilanNews, ‘at least’ an additional three signings are expected this summer.

The Rossoneri are in advanced negotiations with Club Brugge over Charles De Ketelaere and they are also interested in Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga for the defence. In addition to these two positions, they also want a midfielder to make up for the departure of Franck Kessie.

In short, while the names remain unknown for now, it’s clear that Milan will bring in three players for these positions.
