MN: New bid ready, talks with agents – Milan active on two midfielders

AC Milan continue to remain active in the summer transfer window and they are in talks over two midfielders at present, according to a report.

According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello for MilanNews, Youssouf Fofana remains Milan’s first choice to reinforce a midfield that is in need of a more defensive presence after the team were ruthlessly exposed in transition at times last season.

There will soon be a new bid sent to convince Monaco to let him go, while other clubs that have come forward have all been rejected by the player who has his heart set on a move to the Rossoneri.

Fofana wants to go to Milan and this can make the difference, especially because in six months the Frenchman could sign a pre-contract agreement which means he would join for free next season.

Vitiello also says to ‘keep an eye on Manu Konè’ because there have been contacts with the representatives of the Borussia Monchengladbach star, though it is not mentioned if he is an alternative to Fofana or not.

He is known to be a profile that Geoffrey Moncada admires, having tried to sign him three years ago from Toulouse before he went to the Bundesliga side.
