Last week, it was confirmed by authorities that Milan fans who reside in Lombardy had been banned from travelling to Naples for the game this evening. Security and public order reasons were cited, but in reality, it’s a decision that has been taken multiple times this season for no obvious reason.

Curva Sud appealed the decision with a post on social media, voicing their discontent, and even the Napoli fans have offered support as they don’t want to block away fans. Hopefully, it’s something that can change for next season but for tonight, the decision has been made.

Decent crowd despite the ban

According to MilanNews, despite the ban, there will be around 1k Milan fans present the stadium tonight. These are fans who don’t live in Lombardy, allowing them to enter Naples, and they will play a very important role tonight.

They obviously won’t be able to match the loudness of the home fans, but they will be able to make a difference. Especially if the Rossoneri were to score a goal or establish some dominance during the game,

In any case, the players will surely be feeling the support of the fans after their visit to Milanello, which really showed just how much the fans add to this team.
