MN: Origi to undergo scan after complaining of muscle discomfort

Divock Origi could well miss AC Milan’s first game back after the winter break having sustained some kind of muscle issue, a report claims.

Origi missed yesterday afternoon’s friendly against his former club Liverpool, and MilanNews report that the Belgian striker was rested on the advice of the medical staff after complaining of muscle soreness after Monday’s match against Arsenal.

His condition will be re-evaluated in the coming days and in particular, upon the team’s return to Milan, scheduled for December 20. Origi will undergo a scan to understand the extent of the problem when back in Italy.

At present, it is legitimate to think that his presence against PSV Eindhoven and against Salernitana is at great risk, but we must wait to see what the coming days bring. It could be that Olivier Giroud may have to be thrust straight back into action after his post World Cup vacation.
