MN: Pioli delighted as De Ketelaere and Origi impress in official debut for Milan

Charles De Ketelaere and Divock Origi made their official respective debut for AC Milan yesterday, coming on in the second half of the 4-2 win against Udinese. And both impressed straight away.

De Ketelaere featured in a few friendlies for Milan prior to the Udinese clash, bagging a hat-trick in the process, but last night’s appearance was the first official one. He came on in the 71st minute and immediately showed his creativity.

Origi, meanwhile, was subbed on in the 84th minute and thus didn’t get as much time to show himself. As highlighted by MilanNews, both of them did well last night: CDK showed flashes of his class and the former Liverpool man put an end to the physical doubts with a strong display.

Good news for Stefano Pioli, who now has quite a few players to choose between at least for the attack. It will be hard to bench Ante Rebic after yesterday’s performance, for example, but both Olivier Giroud and Origi are lurking.
