The Rossoneri No.56 played 45 minutes of Sunday night’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona but was withdrawn at half-time in place of Ante Rebic in a change that most presumed to be a tactical choice by head coach Stefano Pioli.

However, it was noted that Saelemaekers also missed Thursday night’s 3-0 defeat to Lille through what the club described as precautionary rest.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Saelemaekers left the Belgium camp due to an unspecified physical problem, as reported by the official profile of the Red Devils national team.

They have learned though the problem is in fact an inflammation of the pubis area, meaning a hip problem, though it doesn’t sound like a serious issue such as the flexor issue that could see Alessio Romagnoli miss the first two games back after the break.
