MN: Saelemaekers is not considered unsellable – Milan’s plan for the right

Due to the developments on the market, Alexis Saelemaekers could leave AC Milan this summer. Junior Messias will stay and the Rossoneri are expected to sign a right-winger, fueling the hypothesis.

As reported by MilanNews this evening, the decision to redeem Messias has confirmed the hypothesis of an exit for Saelemaekers. The Belgian failed to impress this past season but his growth since joining the club cannot be ignored either.

Therefore, in case of a sale, Milan are hoping to collect around €20m for the winger which would be a decent capital gain (he cost them around €8m). Saelemaeker is no longer considered unsellable, but that doesn’t mean his exit is certain.

A lack of interest could force the Rossoneri to put Messias back on the market instead, thus making room for a signing. Noa Lang is one of the players that has been linked with the club and he can play almost everywhere in attack, making him an option for the right as well. The same goes for Charles De Ketelaere, who is mainly a No.10.
