AC Milan fans are awaiting positive news with Christian Pulisic’s renewal, and whilst the wait may continue, there are good signs.
Things with Pulisic’s renewal have been somewhat up and down. The winger initially engaged in conversations about a new deal. However, towards the end of last season, talks stopped with him wanting to assess the club’s situation.

Considering the level of interest in him, there was always going to be a worry about this. However, he never took any action, instead waiting to see how Milan acted this summer. Within the first few weeks, though, any doubts were alleviated.
Pulisic Priority
Since then, there have been reports stating that talks are back underway and considering how advanced things were when the negotiations were paused, there should not be a lot to do. Though the renewed positivity and his own start to the season should certainly help.
This morning, Matteo Moretto offered a fantastic update on things, and there is a lot to be happy about, as MilanNews relayed.
“Christian Pulisic is now a sure thing at AC Milan. He has never held back on the pitch and has never disappointed expectations. He started this year strongly again: four games and three goals in the league, with a fantastic performance in Udine.
“I want to tell you about the situation surrounding his contract because at the beginning of 2025, AC Milan came very close to renewing Pulisic’s contract, with the parties having reached a verbal agreement and the contracts ready to be signed.
“Then there was a delay in the signing: the player, through his entourage, asked for more time because he wanted to evaluate the Rossoneri project, starting with the coach and the transfer market decisions. Pulisic asked for guarantees, which then arrived.
“An agreement was reached for a renewal until 2028, plus a further one with a salary of €4-5 million per year, but at this time the negotiations have not yet been resolved: Milan wants to renew Pulisic’s contract, the player gives Milan priority, but the parties have not yet met for this renewal, which is essentially on hold.
“There is no imminent situation; it is not an issue that Milan will resolve in the coming weeks: there are no meetings scheduled.”
How the F does Morretto, or anyone else for that matter, know what Pulisic is prioritizing. My bet is he’s waiting for an offer from one of the premier league giants. But I wouldn’t know either
I’ve seen his show on para+ … I do believe he will prioritize Milan, but only if there is a clear vision for the future. Money doesn’t seem to be the highest motivator for him but it surely doesn’t hurt.
Puli would be wise to follow the Reijnders plan. Use Milan, however dysfunctional it may be, to showcase your skill set. Then use it as a platform to spring onto a more serious club. Which he has been doing – 43 GA’s since joining.
Milan won’t keep it’s stars unless there’s a serious sporting project run by a competent ownership.

Living through Pulisic’s Chelsea years with the anti-American bias from his teammates and fans give me promise that Pulisic has found a permanent home. Yes, he wants to win championships but as a core member of the team. Milan fans realize his skills, professionalism and importance to the team and have embraced him. He is a great example for the younger players on how to prepare and play each game. I feel that he has an opportunity to be one of the greats for Milan and that is important to him and the reason why he will renew.
I think if he sees ACM moving forward as evidence by CL ball and that he is used appropriately by the manager he’ll signed. Even at Chelsea, he continued to talk about earning playing time even when it was obvious that Tuchel never valued him (playing Timo who couldn’t hit the side of a barn and buying Sterling that was a terrible choice) and then Potter playing Sterling.
It’s pretty amazing that Chelsea never embraced him when it was clear that during his run of form during project restart, he pushed Chelsea almost singlehandedly into the Champions League. Clearly they never would have qualified, yet won it without him. Also, a lesson learned is that Puli needs regular playing time to stay healthy. With his work rate and speed, 10 min. per game hurts more than it helps.
