Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders’ sales have provided a platform for investment, and there are further purchases planned after the arrivals of Samuele Ricci, Luka Modric and Pervis Estupinan. In fact, another striker, midfielder and right-back are sought.
The Allegrian plan
For now, though, we can get a gist of what the Allegrian Rossoneri may look like, and there are some subtle differences expected, as seen below from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori and Strahinja Pavlovic remain at the back, whilst Estupinan and Alexis Saelemaekers are expected on the flanks. For what it’s worth, the latter may change.
Youssouf Fofana will be the only survivor in midfield, for now, with Ricci and Modric also coming into the mix. Leading the line, it will be the same as last season for now: Christian Pulisic, Santiago Gimenez and the centre-piece, Rafael Leao. Though, another striker is hoped for.
Saelemakers is not even the best bad option for RB, unless we play 3-5-2 and he is a wingback. I know we bought him as a right defender, but there’s probably a good reason why he became a winger in the next months. The guy is capable of high press, he runs a lot and covers ground in favor of the RB, but he simply isn’t convincing as an actual defender.

Tomori and maigan will not live up to expectations. milan should’ve allow them to exit and bring better players in. infanct Allegri should given the younger players more opportunity to shine rather than sending them on loans or selling them permanently. It’s a mistake Allegri have made and his predecessors before him that have left milan struggling. Majority of thier current players needs to go they cannot make the difference

Are you joking? They are literally buying players that will run for him in midfield so he can be a starter? 2+2.
Get a proper RB, bring in Jashari, Swap one of Tomori/Pavlo for a better CB and get a CF complimentary to Santi. Vlahovic is not it.
Offload Benny, Adli, Musah, Okafor, Terraciano and sort out Bondo. Do we need him? We play once a weak, we can afford a leaner squad.

For better or worse, there was a player revolt. I still stick by the opinion that it was a mistake to fire Pioli. Second place with a relatively new team. Inter were on fire that year- no one was beating them. Admittedly, ACM did not get the big wins the fans wanted. But, they were in the group of death for the CL.
Pioli gave up on the team. He said so in an interview. The players were not responding to his speeches half time in a UCL Semi-final match when we were losing against Inter. He knew then and there that he had lost the locker room.
Well, that doesn’t put the players in a great light. Last year some players seemed to give up on both managers. Does this team have the backbone to compete beyond a game or two?

I just don’t understand all the investment in the midfield. We are going to have tens of millions of investment sitting on the bench every game. Only 3 can play midfield and we have RLC, Fofana, Ricci, Modric, and now Jashari. If we play a 3-4-3 then only two midfielders will play out of these 5. Meanwhile we only have one striker, and all of our defensive CBs are ok, but no one is dominant, at anything. I would much rather we keep Musah as a 5th midfielder, and pay up and get Leone.
Also Saladmaker, Chuck, Jimenez. One of them will probably have to go…Who can fetch the most?
We must change the formation. 4-5-1 / 3-4-2-1 would be so nice. Lots of genius midfielder
Allegri is enough to tell us how will be the new Milan. All your comments as to-day, are no-sense. You will tell us how Milan will perform ONLY in SPTEMBER/OCTOBER. Please make a note of it
The good thing is how to play, system of play and kill the game. That’s more important thing than buy 4 / 5 new players.
Why they always predict a 4-3-3?
Seems that we play much better in 3-5-2 and suits most players we have.

Leao will be freed to play either next to a CF like Gimenez, or as duo with someone like Pulisic
