Christopher Nkunku has insisted that he never thought about leaving AC Milan after an impressive performance against Bologna.
Nkunku was the subject of rumours regarding a potential exit in the winter window, even though he only joined a few months prior from Chelsea. However, throughout the mercato it was always maintained that the Frenchman wanted to remain at Milan and show his worth.

He once again showed the kind of impact forward he can be during tonight’s 3-0 win against Bologna. It was a lively performance overall, perfectly summarised by the penalty that he won late in the first half after a smart run and touch around the goalkeeper, which he then tucked away.
Nkunku spoke to the DAZN cameras immediately after the full-time whistle to express his delight after the result and to respond to those rumours about a January exit. MilanNews transcribed what he had to say.
You really wanted to stay at Milan, and got another goal…
“It’s not my moment. We work together to win. I never thought about leaving Milan. I’m happy to be here and play for this club.”
You had other chances to score too…
“I could have scored again. I could have scored in my last move. In a game like that, we could have scored more goals.”

His form is on a sharp upswing. Yes, it was a penalty, but his overall play has been excellent. While Mateta would have been nice (unfortunate for his potential knee surgery), I think we have a strong attack.,
It’s a penalty he WON.
He should have an assist for the foul in the reverse fixture against Bologna, but VAR controversially denied Milan the penalty.
yup. his form is picking up. people forget he joined last window at the very last moment. Jury is still out, he needs consistency in his performances. for now, i’m glad he is taking advantage of the opportunity given Puli and Rafa arent 100%.
We need to see more open plays from him… 5 goals and 3 were penalties… he’s also very creative and hope his numbers for assists will skyrocket when healthy Puli and Leao come back
No, let’s just sell him and bring in Gimenez in his place. That would make much more sense here.
Nkunku is solid.
Sorry haters….
I’m not so worried due to the unavailablity of Leao dan Pulisic for now.
