AC Milan have now confirmed the shirt number that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will wear, and he will inherit the one vacated by Sandro Tonali’s exit.
It was confirmed last week that Loftus-Cheek has signed a contract which will run until June 2027 and he is the first paid-for signing of the summer.
However, unlike the signing of Sportiello, Milan chose to withhold the official photoshoot and it has become clear why now. Tonali’s sale to Newcastle was confirmed yesterday, and Loftus-Cheek has taken the No.8.
