AC Milan have confirmed that no players or staff have tested positive for COVID-19 despite the worrying words from president Paolo Scaroni.

Scaroni admitted yesterday that at Milan there are “some players infected in the process of recovery” – which caused a stir in the media.
Nonetheless, La Gazzetta dello Sport then reported that there are no active cases of players or staff with Coronavirus at Milan. A few hours after Scaroni’s statements, the club specified that the president was referring to cases that have already passed, and that in the next 24-48 hours exams and serological tests will be concluded that are in progress.
A statement on the club’s official website has confirmed that – based on the medical tests carried out so far on both the First Team players and staff – there have been no positive cases of Coronavirus detected.
The team will continue their individual training programmes at Milanello, with the remainder of the medical checks to be completed for all of the players in the next few days.
