Over the past few days, news emerged from reliable sources claiming that Leeds are keen on signing Okafor. Not only that, but they are willing to offer a significant fee for a permanent deal, which tempts Milan.

Given that the Swiss forward had performed well in preseason there was some speculation that Massimiliano Allegri might look to keep him as a deputy left winger, but it seems the club will not stand in his way.

Okafor to Leeds: Almost done

Fabrizio Romano‘s latest update is as follows: “Leeds United are closing in on Noah Okafor deal, agreement almost done with AC Milan. Final details to sort in next 12/24h with here we go to follow if all goes to plan.”

Gianluca Di Marzio also reports that Okafor will soon become a new Leeds player. Everything is done for the forward’s move to the Premier League and Milan will receive €21m, including bonuses, from his sale.

The player will be in England in the next few hours for a medical and to sign his contract. After the Yorkshire side won their opening game against Everton on Monday night, it is a further boost in their bid for survival.
