GdS: One completed pass in 63 minutes – Origi a puzzle Pioli must solve

Stefano Pioli has been left with yet another puzzle to solve as Divock Origi continues to disappoint, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recall how Origi made only one successful pass during his 63 minutes on the field against Monza on Saturday, with a 25% completion rate. No player with at least 60 minutes on the pitch in Serie A has done worse than that.

He and his compatriot Charles De Ketelaere continue to struggle in a week in which Milan recovered, chased away the ghosts and won three games. Origi joined in the summer as a free agent after several seasons at Liverpool having been decisive in derbies and in the Champions League semi-final and final, but Milan just can’t get a tune out of him.

Origi makes €4m net per year, has two goals to his name and has started only six games out of 21, missing eight of those due to injury. He arrived at Milan injured, he didn’t take part in the summer preparation due to physical problems and now looks behind everyone, with Pioli trying to catch him up.
