Leao is attracting a lot of speculation given he was one of the protagonists of the Scudetto win last season and of the Rossoneri’s positive start to the current season too, given he hit double figures in goals and assists in 2021-22 and is on course to do the same this time around.

The winger’s contract expires in June 2024 and that means by the end of the current season he would have just one year left on his deal, so the management are at work to renew his contract while the rumours of interest from top clubs abroad continues to mount.

Ordine expressed his opinion on the matter as the well-known sports journalist spoke on Andrea Longoni’s YouTube channel about how things are at this moment in time, with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.

“Why do we continue to say that it is a very complex negotiation? Because the situation is as follows. Officially at this moment Leao’s signature has been given to the Parisian lawyer Dimvula, chosen by father Antonio. This signature expires in 2024 is considered void by Jorge Mendes, Leao ‘s previous attorney,” he began.

“Should Leao’s family sign a new contract with the Parisian lawyer’s exclusive power of attorney, Jorge Mendes would turn to the judicial authority to declare that signature illegitimate and therefore that contract invalid.”
