There have been suggestions that interest is not high in Santiago Gimenez and this seems to have been confirmed with AC Milan facing an unfavourable situation.

Ahead of this summer, it has seemed increasingly likely that Gimenez would be on the way out of Milan for another summer in a row. After unsuccessful attempts last year, the Mexican has been heading in one direction, it seemed.
Now, though, his chances of an exit seem to be slipping.
Interest fades in Gimenez
As MilanNews relays from this morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera, the striker – who will be out for eight weeks after his ankle injury – is not the topic of much interest. Indeed, calls had come from Orlando City and Porto.
However, neither has really followed up on their interest. In fact, they have actually withdrawn from the situation, it would seem, with them looking at other options away from Gimenez.
It is not like the Diavolo are seeking an extortionate fee; they simply do not want to record a loss on the Mexican. So, a fee of around €21 million would be enough to secure his exit. After the new injury, though, there are certainly fears about the club’s chances of selling the striker…
