PBP: Milan serious about landing Zaccagni as he puts other offers on hold – Leao could leave

AC Milan appear to be interested in signing Mattia Zaccagni from Hellas Verona regardless of Hakan Calhanoglu’s fate, according to one journalist.

Pietro Balzano Prota has given an update on the Zaccagni situation as he has been intensely linked with a move to Milan over the past couple of days. He confirms that the Rossoneri would like to include Andrea Conti in the negotiation as he is out of the clubs plans and is of interest to Hellas Verona.

Napoli and Lazio are both interested in the 26-year-old forward too, but at the moment Zaccagni has put those clubs on stand-by to give priority to the Rossoneri. He adds that the Italian is not necessarily a replacement for Calhanoglu as he would not be a starter, but rather attacking depth.

In a follow-up tweet, Prota mentions that it is possible that Zaccagni is brought in as a ‘wild card’ for the attack as he is also capable of playing in the left wing, adding that in his opinion the club are thinking of potentially selling Rafael Leao.
