PBP: Milan serious about landing Zaccagni as he puts other offers on hold – Leao could leave

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear to be interested in signing Mattia Zaccagni from Hellas Verona regardless of Hakan Calhanoglu’s fate, according to one journalist.

Pietro Balzano Prota has given an update on the Zaccagni situation as he has been intensely linked with a move to Milan over the past couple of days. He confirms that the Rossoneri would like to include Andrea Conti in the negotiation as he is out of the clubs plans and is of interest to Hellas Verona.

Napoli and Lazio are both interested in the 26-year-old forward too, but at the moment Zaccagni has put those clubs on stand-by to give priority to the Rossoneri. He adds that the Italian is not necessarily a replacement for Calhanoglu as he would not be a starter, but rather attacking depth.

In a follow-up tweet, Prota mentions that it is possible that Zaccagni is brought in as a ‘wild card’ for the attack as he is also capable of playing in the left wing, adding that in his opinion the club are thinking of potentially selling Rafael Leao.

May God hear our prayers and Leao leave us…

Yes, if we can get 30m for Leao we can strenghten the squad with real quality.
Not sure about Zaccagni though. I’m still hoping for Belotti and Berardi…

Leao is the most gifted player milan have right now. And the management and what hurts the most – a good part of fans agree to sell him because he didn’t perform. But why he didn’t perform? Because of Pioli. He never created conditions for him to shine. He was allways used as LW or in deep striker. If you want to see Leao score 20-30 give him space to exploit his speed and coach him mentaly because he is still a spoiled child. 4-2-3-1 is a system not suited to his characteristics. He needs to play along a strong striker who is capable to displace both central defenders. This way Leao can florish. Remember this.. if Milan is stupid enough to sell him, he will explode somewere else and he will be a golden boot player.

Leao will be a golden boot player?!!! NEVER! With his attitude he’s bound to be the next Balotelli. Well.. Not even that. Niang 2.0

He will be forgotten in a couple of years because he doesn’t have the mental strength.
