Pellegatti: Torino star not a ‘priority’ for Milan unless another move happens first

Carlo Pellegatti believes that AC Milan will only turn their attentions towards a concrete move for Alessandro Buongiorno in the event a player leaves.

There is a lot of talk about the centre-forward that Milan will sign but among the priorities of the management is also the arrival of a new central defender given just how bad the team were defensively in 2023-24.

Geoffrey Moncada and his collaborators are apparently searching for a player who can come in and start straight away, most likely next to Fikayo Tomori. Buongiorno – the captain of Torino – is a player that has been frequently linked, having tried for him during the January window too.

The well-known journalist and Pellegatti spoke to TV Play about the possible moves by the AC Milan management in the defensive department, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.

“Buongiorno is very good, but I don’t think he’s a priority for Milan, apart from if an offer for Thiaw comes in. Only in that case will things be reviewed. But I think that the real dream of Cairo and the player is the arrival of an offer from the Premier League,” he said.

There are also other teams like Inter and Napoli that are keen on signing the Italian, as well as some teams in the Premier League like Spurs.
