Pioli spoke to DAZN before the game at San Siro, and he expressed his thoughts ahead of what is a very crucial campaign for his side during which they will be expected to challenge for the title again and go further in Europe.
“We come back with a lot of emotion and a lot of energy. All the games give us different ideas. There is a desire within us to start the season well. It is the first game after the Scudetto,” he said (via MilanNews).
“We are motivated, we have prepared well. We must be a team even in difficulties as we have always done. Origi, Giroud and Charles are better. They are a little behind the others, they are quality players who will be very useful.”
