According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pioli hopes to have Brahim Diaz available for the game in Croatia but he is being forced to think about how to line up if he is not fit enough to start.

There are two options to replace the Spaniard in the event he is not 100%: either Charles De Ketealere will play as a natural replacement in the playmaker role, or Pioli will elect to field a more physical player like Rade Krunic or Tommaso Pobega in an advanced role.

After fielding a double pivot consisting of Ismael Bennacer and Tommaso Pobega for the game against Monza on Saturday evening, it seems that Sandro Tonali will parter up with the Algerian again thus freeing Pobega or Krunic to play further forward.
