After loan spells at Ternana and Pordenone in Serie C and Serie B respectively, Pobega got his first taste of Serie A with Spezia in 2020-21 and was then sent to Torino last season to continue his development under their head coach Ivan Juric, but he was brought back to base and kept by Stefano Pioli this time.

Ahead of the return to Turin Pobega gave an interview to Milan TV in which he spoke about a number of topics including how he is finding life as a fully fledged Rossoneri player.

On Gabbia’s goal in Zagreb: “I was very happy with his goal because when someone works hard then he is ready when needed.”

On the seasons out on loan: “I was probably not quite as mature and ready as some of my team-mates when I left the Primavera. Going on loan helped me to grow, every year I took a step forward and raised the bar, improving more and more.”

On being at Milan: “Already in the summer, talking with the club and the coach, there was a desire to do this journey together. The emotion is great, I want to take advantage of every opportunity that I have at my disposal.”

On his performances: “I always try to do what the coach asks of me. In training I try to improve as much as possible. Over the years, the coach has created a very specific identity so everyone knows what to do on the pitch. This is important and helps, then I put my qualities at the disposal of the team.”

On Torino: “We will face a Torino who want to win and to show that all the work they do leads to positive results. We will face a strong team and we will have to do it with the utmost concentration and attention to try to bring the game from ours. part.”

On the league and the Champions League: “We have to distinguish the two competitions. Now we are only thinking about the league and extending our positive streak.”
