It has been well documented that Milan face a tough renewal negotiation if they are to extend Leao’s current deal which expires in June 2024 because the winger wants a big pay rise and there is also the issue of the €19m fine owed to Sporting CP after he terminated his deal there four years ago.

According to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), it is not excluded that Chelsea will also make an attempt in January to try to snatch Leao from Milan after they tried in the summer transfer window.

However, the Blues face competition in the race to land the Portuguese international because Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all keen on the former Lille man, while Milan are at work to extend his deal.
