Pulisic on ‘surreal’ ending to Genoa clash and his goal: “I don’t want to stop”

Christian Pulisic was one of the heroes for AC Milan in their 1-0 win against Genoa earlier this evening, finding the back of the net in the final minutes. After the game, he shared his thoughts on the madness.

Madness indeed, because Olivier Giroud had to finish the game in goal due to Mike Maignan’s red card. The veteran striker ended up making one crucial stop for the Rossoneri, which was heavily celebrated by his teammates.

Speaking to MilkanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Pulisic shared his thoughts on his goal and also the save of Giroud. He stated that it was ‘surreal’ to see his teammate making the save in the dying minutes.

“It was surreal to see Olivier in goal, but it was incredible and we are all happy. We played against a defensive team, it wasn’t easy. I like scoring goals and helping the team win, it’s one of my best starts in terms of goals scored, I don’t want to stop here.”

Milan will take on Juventus after the break and Pulisic is bound to start in that game, having shown his qualities this evening. Now, however, he will get some time to rest even if US duty is on the cards.
