GdS: RedBird aiming to bring Liverpool-style data analysis to Milan

AC Milan owners Redbird Capital Group is looking to implement the style of data analysis that has been used at Liverpool and Toulouse in the past, a report claims.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, Gerry Cardinale is a big advocate of using data in every part of the club, but he stresses that it is not just about making decisions based on numbers.

He wants clubs to use data and combine it with intuition. RedBird also owns Zelus which is a data analysis company that has been dealing with Milan for months. The Rossoneri has a series of analysts and only Roma have invested more in this sector in Italy.

Milan want to use numbers as a support in decision-making, rather than a complete guide when it comes to making signings.

Frederic Massasra and Paolo Maldini are tasked with finding the right blend between their own knowledge and the data that is given to them.
