The Rossoneri needed to respond to defeats against Inter and Sampdoria on Tuesday night, but lowly Udinese held Gennaro Gattuso’s side to a 1-1 draw.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced off early on with a knee problem, allowing Reina to make his first appearance for Milan in Serie A, but he couldn’t keep a clean sheet.
“We practically went from 2-0 to 1-1, we suffered a draw on a quick restart,” he told MilanTV.
“In the end we did something more to look for the 2-1. We also had opportunities with Castillejo, but this is it.
“We are sorry for the draw. We have to react. Fortunately, we will have a unique atmosphere on Saturday.”
“Injuries? It’s April, there are so many games, and even the national teams, we have a wide squad and we can’t complain.
“We have to lick our wounds and get up and defend fourth place, we can’t forget it. We have to give 110%, we have to focus on doing things right, playing ‘our’ football, having personality and self-confidence.
“This group deserves it [top four]. Winning at Juventus Stadium? It’s ninety minutes, it’s a special match against one of the strongest teams in Europe. It’s the best scenario to react.”
