Report: Milan monitoring versatile youngster but €40m price tag represents an obstacle

AC Milan are well-known for their willingness to focus on young players and although some experience has been needed, their tactic has paid off. Another youngster in their sights is Charles De Ketelaere.

According to Niccolo Ceccarini, in his latest piece for TMW, Milan have been monitoring the performances of De Ketelaere for quite some now. The 21-year-old currently plays for Club Brugge and has impressed in the Champions League with the club.

He can play as an attacking midfielder, a winger and as a false nine, meaning he’s a very versatile player. This is something that appeals to Milan but the youngster is believed to have a price tag of around €40m, which obviously is an obstacle.

In addition, several big clubs are following his situation including Napoli in Italy. It remains to be seen, therefore, if Milan’s interest will turn into something more concrete. At that price, it’s unlikely.
