Reports: Zapata, Ekitike and Jovic not considered last-minute options by Milan

AC Milan may be forced to look for an alternative target late in the window given the complications signing Mehdi Taremi, but three options have seemingly been ruled out.

As of yesterday evening it looked as though Taremi was getting ready to fly over to Italy and undergo a medical before becoming a new Milan player, however everything has been thrust into doubt over the past few hours.

This has led to speculation that Milan might well abandon the pursuit entirely and instead look for another last-minute solution to give Stefano Pioli another striker to rotate with Olivier Giroud.

According to MilanNews, however, the names of Luka Jovic of Fiorentina and Duvan Zapata of Atalanta – at least at the moment – do not appear to be objectives for the management with the latter seemingly Torino-bound.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com confirms Jovic is not a target, adding that there is no chance of a late relaunch for PSG’s Hugo Ekitike.
