Robert Lewandowski is the ideal free agent striker signing for many and AC Milan are among the suitors. However, it will not be easy.
Whilst the removal of a fee would be a big help for Milan, making the signing of Lewandowski an opportunity, there has been a big problem. It would not solve the issue of his massive wages, which is the sticking point.

Indeed, with several free agents, the contracts have been where the problems arise. Unfortunately, there is only so much players are willing to reduce their deals by in one go. In other words, the Rossoneri need to hope for a bit of generosity.
Lewandowski likelihood low
Today, Fabrizio Romano has commented on the ‘only way’ to see Lewandowski playing Serie A football and his words have been relayed by MilanNews24.
“The only way we can hope to see a champion like Lewandowski in our league is if the player can choose a significant reduction in his salary and have a different experience.”
There are two issues with this, as Romano states as well, though.
“Barcelona are ready to offer Lewandowski another year on his contract, but at a significantly lower salary than he currently earns. Barça is already ready to sign that contract and has already told his agent.
“Then, there is a very significant offer from the MLS for Lewandowski on a financial level: there is an economic attraction from America and also from a family point of view for the player.”
In other words, if he wants to reduce his deal, he wouldn’t have to move. If he didn’t want to reduce his salary, there is already interest from both parties in a move to America.
