Salzburger Nachrichten: Milan offer €20m for Pavlovic – RB Salzburg ask for more

A report from Austria has claimed that AC Milan have made an offer for Strahinja Pavlović but it is not yet at the amount that Red Bull Salzburg want.

Now that the European Football Championship is over, the mercato is starting to move and the Salzburger Nachrichten have given an update on some of the Red Bull Salzburg players that are in demand.

The hottest stock at the moment is Strahinja Pavlović who is high on the wish list of Milan. The Rossoneri management and player are said to have already reached an agreement over personal terms.

The source claims that the sticking point is currently the transfer fee that Milan would pay the Austrian club. The directors have offered €20m including bonuses so far, but Die Roten Bullen want €5m more to sanction the sale.

The Diavolo are in the market for a new centre-back not just because of Simon Kjaer’s exit after the expiration of his contract but also because of the sheer amount of goals conceded.

With Paulo Fonseca installed as the new head coach, there seems to be a desire to sign a left-footed player to insert into the back four as a partner to Fikayo Tomori.
