Nicolo Schira reported today that Milan are working on the contract extensions of Franck Kessie and Davide Calabria. Their contracts expire in 2022 and Maldini has already scheduled the meetings with their respective agents, Atangana and Alfaro, to discuss the renewals.
Now, the same journalist has written on Twitter that two other renewals are also on the agenda, namely those of Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer who are considered ‘fundamental pillars of Milan’.
Dialogues over the adjustment of their respective contracts will start in the coming weeks as both earn only €1.5m net per season and will receive a well-deserved increase. When we contacted Schira, he added that it is ‘a possibility’ that Bennacer’s €50m release clause could be removed as it will be talked about in the next few weeks.
