Sky: AC Milan preparing bid to rival Napoli in race for Celta Vigo star

The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, confirmed yesterday officially by AC Milan, will not be the last reinforcement of the club during the January transfer market. The Rossoneri would also like to focus on the arrival of a defender as well as a midfielder.

For the midfield, a name that interests Milan is that of Stanislav Lobotka, Celta Vigo’s star player, as reported by Sky Sport (via milannews.it). Boban, Maldini and Massara have a list of midfielders and the Slovakian international is among the desired names.

The player is also monitored by Napoli, who are in negotiations with the Spanish club and have made an offer of 18-20 million euros. Celta, however, want 25 million, even though the release clause is set at 50 million.

The Partenopei have already been in contact with Lobotka’s agent in order to convince him to join the club and to convince Celta to let him go. At the moment, Milan are a bit in the background and are thinking of placing an offer of an initial loan with an obligation to buy. However, the Rossoneri have not yet been in contact with the Spaniards.
