Sky: Distance remains between Milan and Strasbourg over Simakan – the figures

Milan are working hard to reinforce the squad this transfer window, having struggled with injuries all season. The centre-back role is their priority and their first-choice target has been identified for quite some time.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), during last night’s show on Sky Italia, Milan are still negotiating with Strasbourg over Mohamed Simakan. The 20-year-old defender is their first choice to reinforce the department.

However, the Rossoneri aren’t willing to raise their offer of €15m plus bonuses, for now, while Strasbourg stand firm on the €20m request. But the negotiations continue, as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are keen on closing the deal.

Should they fail to do so, then Schalke’s Ozan Kabak is the alternative, as Di Marzio concluded his update on the situation. It remains to be seen what players Milan will sing this month, though it’s clear they are trying hard.
