Sky: Eintracht Frankfurt go cold on Milan winger after deeming asking price too high

Eintracht Frankfurt have cooled their interest in Jens Petter Hauge because they deem Milan’s asking price to be too high, according to a report.

The Norwegian’s future with the Rossoneri is hanging in the balance because despite impressing in his first season, the amount of playing time he got under Stefano Pioli was underwhelming at times, which did not help his development. This has led to speculation that he could be sold for a capital gain after less than a year, to help finance other signings too.

Sky (via MilanNews) are reporting that Eintract Frankfurt have targeted Hauge, but the asking price from Milan is holding back the negotiations between the two clubs for the time being. Having paid a few million euros to sign him last summer from Bodo/Glimt, Milan are asking for €12m to sell the 22-year-old, a valuation considered too high by the leadership of the German club.
