Sky Germany: Dortmund forward ‘a serious target’ for Milan – the situation

A report from Germany has confirmed that AC Milan have ‘concrete’ interest in signing Niclas Füllkrug from Borussia Dortmund.

Alvaro Morata completed his medical with Milan this morning and he will soon be officially announced as a new signing, but it seems that the management want to sign another forward to complete the department.

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, the Rossoneri’s interest in Füllkrug is concrete. The club have been ‘informed about all details’ as first talks took place between the parties, but there are ‘no negotiations, decisions or agreements yet’.

Milan want to sign at least one more striker after Morata and the 31-year-old Fullkrug is ‘a serious target’ for Milan. Tammy Abraham is also on the list of potential options, and Plettenberg points out that both the Englishman and the German have the same agency (ROOF).

Fullkrug amassed 12 goals and eight assists in 29 Bundesliga games with Dortmund last season, but BVB have just signed Serhou Guirassy and thus it looks like his playing time could be more limited.

In the season prior with Werder Bremen he netted 16 times in 28 league games, with five assists. He also scored twice for Germany at the European Championship which has just ended.
