AC Milan still consider Edin Terzic to be a candidate to become their new head coach if things turn sour under Paulo Fonseca, according to a report.

There continues to be rumblings regarding the idea that Milan are preparing for the idea of potentially having to sack Fonseca if he does not manage to win more consistently, given that so far the Rossoneri are one four wins out of 10 to begin the new campaign.

Last month, when the team were also in a difficult phase, MilanNews reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic had met with Terzic to discuss the possibility of taking over. He has been out of work since being let go by Borussia Dortmund in the summer, who he guided to the Champions League final.

According to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Terzic will make his comeback on the sidelines today as a TV expert/guest at the Santiago Bernabéu where Dortmund will take on Real Madrid in a rematch of the final a few months ago.

However, he will not be standing at the same table as the current BVB boss Nuri Sahin and their director Matthias Sammer, but will analyse the game separately. Berger adds that Terzic is ‘ready for a new job and has recently watched a lot of games in England and Italy’.

The 41-year-old is being ‘considered by AC Milan and West Ham, among others’ and he is a name to look out for should either club take the plunge and sack Fonseca or Lopetegui.
