Ahead of the derby, some positive news is needed for AC Milan fans to gain any hope, and today some has arrived from Milanello.

The Derby della Madonnina is a season-defining game and with it being this early, Milan must be on the right side of the result if they are to have a positive season. At present, though, it is difficult to see the game in a positive light.

There are doubts about the head coach, and more importantly, if he will remain on the touchline past this weekend with reports offering contrasting views on his position. Doubts are not only directed in the way of the coach, though, and questions are being asked in every department.

However, it is vital to keep the squad focused on the game rather than the noise, and this is what Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been attempting to do. Yesterday, he was present at Milanello to offer support and also speak with the team, and today, according to Sky (via Milan News) he was present once again to watch over training, whether he said anything is unknown, though.

Another piece of news from Milanello is that Malick Thiaw returned to group training, so he could potentially be named on the substitutes bench this weekend.
