Sky: Arsenal and Lille duo are Milan’s ‘big dreams’ for the striker role

AC Milan are working on various fronts to improve the squad ahead of the new season and the signing of a new striker is of paramount importance.

According to the latest update from Sky, the Milan management have been offered the chance to sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto by his entourage but the asking price for his transfer fee is currently €20m.

While evaluations on the Iran international continue, there are other ideas being considered. There are currently two ‘big dreams’ which are ‘currently forbidden due to very high costs’ as per the report.

The first name mentioned is Jonathan David of Lille who scored 26 goals in 40 games across all competitions last season, and the other is Folarin Balogun of Arsenal who netted 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 appearances on loan at Stade de Reims.

Both are widely reported to have high asking prices given the seasons they have just had, while Milan have other areas they must strengthen too even if they have just sold Sandro Tonali for a club-record fee.
