Sky: Milan’s predicted XI for Sassuolo clash – nine changes as Sportiello will start

AC Milan will be looking to bounce back from the defeat to Roma, taking on Sassuolo away from home tomorrow afternoon. With the reverse fixture against the Giallorossi in mind, several changes are expected to the XI.

The Rossoneri have more or less clinched Champions League qualification already, needing just one more win this season, and the Scudetto race is dead in the water. Therefore, most of the focus is now on the Europa League, especially since Liverpool might be knocked out by Atalanta.

According to Sky Italia, Stefano Pioli should make nine changes to the starting XI. Mike Maignan is suffering from fatigue and hasn’t been called up, but there are no concerns for the Roma game. Fikayo Tomori is back from suspension and should start, despite the risk of a derby suspension.

As for the rest of the positions, the reserves will be given a chance and it remains to be seen how they will perform. Sassuolo have struggled big time this season but it’s always risky to make so many changes, even if it doesn’t matter that much to Milan in the grand scheme of things.

Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Sportiello; Florenzi, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Adli; Chukwueze, Reijnders, Okafor; Jovic.
