Sky: Milan’s XI for Genoa trip – Calhanoglu, Biglia and Kessie in midfield

AC Milan boss Marco Giampaolo is ready to stick by Hakan Calhanoglu, Krzysztof Piatek and Franck Kessie for the game against Genoa, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of three points at the Marassi on Saturday night, as is the under-fire head coach after four defeats in the opening six games of the season.

There have been suggestions by a number of media outlets that the game against Genoa represents a last chance saloon for Giampaolo and that he could be fired if a substantial improvement is not seen.

As a result he was expected to make some changes from the team that were comprehensively beaten by a struggling Fiorentina side.

Sky Italia claimed on Thursday that one of Samu Castillejo, Ricardo Rodriguez, Lucas Biglia and Fabio Borini are expected to start.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday concurred that there will be changes to the Milan XI for the game, with Lucas Biglia and Lucas Paqueta both set to start.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio is now claiming that Calhanoglu will keep his place in the left central midfield position, but that Biglia will indeed come in.

Theo Hernandez will also start at left-back with the rest of the back four as expected aside from Leo Duarte coming in for the injured Mateo Musacchio.

The front three, meanwhile, is expected to stay the same from the game against La Viola.

Predicted Milan XI (4-3-3) – Donnarumma; Calabria, Duarte, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessiè, Biglia, Calhanoglu; Suso, Piatek, Leao.
