GdS: Milan’s XI for Genoa – Piatek, Biglia and Paqueta to start; Bennacer dropped

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Marco Giampaolo is set to make a number of changes to his starting XI for the trip to Genoa, a report claims.

The Rossoneri head to the Marassi having lost four of their first six league games, the worst start to a season that Milan have had in over 80 years.

Rumours are suggesting that Giampaolo could lose his job unless a substantial improvement is seen against the Rossoblu after three straight defeats against Inter, Torino and Fiorentina.

A report from Sky Italia claimed on Thursday that Giampaolo is ready to go back to relying on experience, and as such one of Samu Castillejo, Ricardo Rodriguez, Lucas Biglia and Fabio Borini are expected to start.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday (via @teammilanac on Twitter), there will be changes to the Milan XI for the game.

Donnarumma will keep his place in goal while the back four that ended the game against Fiorentina will keep their places, with Leo Duarte in for the suspended Mateo Musacchio.

Lucas Biglia will take over his place from Ismael Bennacer, while Franck Kessie and Lucas Paqueta will be either side of him.

Rafael Leao will start on the left, Suso on the right and Krzysztof Piatek up front amid doubts over the Poland international’s future.
