Sky: Pioli set to confirm Milan’s derby XI for crucial away clash vs. Roma

Milan just about managed to knock out Red Star Belgrade from Europa League, advancing on away goals, and it’s safe to say there is a lot of pressure on the Rossoneri. On Sunday, they will take on fourth-placed Roma.

Stefano Pioli made quite a lot of changes to the starting XI mid-week but was forced to bring in the strong cards anyway, as the game was very tough. As for the encounter with Roma, the manager has a pretty good idea of which players to field.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, he’s inclined to confirm the XI that played against Inter last weekend. That is, in other words, the usual back-four with Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of the defence.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie will team up in the middle once again, while Ante Rebic is ahead of Rafael Leao for the left-wing spot. Having said that, things could change after the training session tomorrow, which is the final one ahead of the game.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
